		<description>Aha -- one has to *reset* the device first before the metadata index is updated. The mechanism varies depending on Kindle revision -- thankfully on my Kindle 3 I no longer have to use a paper clip :p

		<description>I&#039;ve rediscovered pretty much the same thing before finding this blog entry. Rather annoying that the firmware is not smart enough to compare the timestamp of the file against the index entry, and optionally update the index -- even in the newest Kindle OS revision!</description>
